Finally, after a long and arduous project, I, and John Quinn, of the CRB have produced a final draft document, as to how Applicants having to undergo a CRB check, can have a process that they may use to retain (if they wish it) thier confidentiality of thier former life, (as is thier right) so that a prospective employer may see the complete CRB history (if any) of the applicant as they are now, and have no knowledge of who they formerly were.
Dialogue between the CRB and the applicant will be via a secure mailbox that the CRB will delete once the check is complete.
The check obviously, will be fully carried out on the applicant, but once complete, the history will match the identity the applicant now holds. When further CRB checks are required, the process will be as with any other applicant. The history refers to the person.
Once ratified, the Pathway process will be available on-line.

Interesting
That sounds interesting Heather. How is it different to the existing Confidential CRB checking process that the CRB operate (detailed in the forums here)? I can see the advantage of a 'secure' mailbox but in what other ways does it differ - or are you formalising the existing process in a document?
Well done and keep up all your hard work! We need people like you in our community to make the world a better place for those of us less able to take such things on board. Ax
